Redcap Review - Spring Newsletter

Editorial:   I feel I would like to ramble on about the seemingly lack of bio-security causing the avian flu outbreak in Holton, Suffolk. However I will spare you that, other than to say, that after the outbreak I received from DEFRA a package of information advising me on how to protect my birds and two letters from the NHS telling me to get a human flu jab as soon as possible. Unfortunately because I have more than fifty birds I was obliged to become registered. I think the cost of sending out these papers to fanciers would have been better spent on monitoring commercial factory farming. What has happened to commonsense? What do you think? Happy hatching!
